The same can be said of the creation of Jameson Caskmates. What's more Cork than stumbling upon an industry revolutionizing idea while perched happily on a bar stool and talking shop over a creamy pint of Leeside craft stout.
Come join us to hear this story from one of the men involved: Dave Quinn of Midleton distillery. Dave was a previous Master Distiller of Bushmills when they were part of Irish Distillers. Now Master of Science at Midleton distillery, he certainly knows a thing or two about crafting superlative Irish whiskey.
He will be joined by beer specialist Paudie Scully of the Franciscan Well. Paudie, with the help of Dave, will guide us through select pairings of Franciscan Well craft beers and Midleton Irish whiskeys - with pride of place of course going to Jameson Caskmates.
Afterwards, you will be treated to wood fired pizza in the spacious surrounds of the Fran Well beer garden.
