Cork Whiskey Society
Cork Whiskey Society host regular whiskey tasting events in Cork. We meet regularly to learn about the rich heritage of distilling our native spirit in Ireland, to enjoy the company of fellow whiskey-lovers and to sample interesting whiskeys that are often prohibitively rare and expensive for the individual consumer.
Cork Whiskey Society were delighted to be involved in the 2017 Irish Whiskey Awards. Along with members of the Irish Whiskey Society and Celtic Whiskey Club, Cork Whiskey Society members took part in blind tastings to select their favourite whiskeys in each category. The best Irish whiskeys of 2017 were revealed last Thursday night at the awards ceremony in Bow Street, Dublin and the award, and our sincerest congratulations, for best overall Irish whiskey of 2017 went to the Teeling Revival Volume 4.
"Quite simply, we're all about whiskey"
Come to a Tasting
Tasting attendee's, including non-members, are a diverse bunch who share the enjoyment of rare whiskeys in a social setting. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the cordial, fun atmosphere. The days of stuffy, boring Society's are long gone!
Cork Whiskey Society membership is a great way to enhance your knowledge and enjoyment of mostly Irish whiskeys in the company of like-minded individuals. We've yet to find a more enjoyable way to sip fine whiskey.
Sell your Whiskey
We're always on the lookout for vintage Irish whiskeys to include in our tastings. We provide, at no obligation, expert appraisal and a means to sell on your old Irish whiskey. You may even opt to join us when we finally sample that old relic!
Cork Whiskey Society host monthly tastings in pleasant city whiskey venues e.g. Shelbourne, Oliver Plunkett, Bull McCabes, The Roundy, CoqBull, Coughlans, Costigans, The Porterhouse, Franciscan Well etc.
